While most by far of visa applications are sanctioned, U.S. law sets out numerous measures under which a visa application might be denied. An application might be denied in light of the fact that the consular officer does not have the majority of the data required to decide whether the candidate is qualified to get a visa, on the grounds that the candidate does not meet all requirements for the visa classification for which he or she connected, or on the grounds that the data evaluated shows the candidate falls inside the extent of one of the prohibition or ineligibility grounds of the law.
